Nana Gyamfi Kumanin Sarpong Commissions Mechanised Borehole to Improve Water Supply in Mowire
Residents of Mowire have received a major boost in access to potable water following the commissioning of a mechanised borehole on 24 June 2026.
The project was undertaken to help address the water supply challenges that sometimes affect the community.
The mechanised borehole, fitted with six standpipes, is expected to provide residents with easier access to clean and safe drinking water while reducing congestion at water collection points.
The project was financed and commissioned by the Mowirehene, Nana Gyamfi Kumanin Sarpong, in collaboration with the Assembly Member for the Mowire/Akrowa Electoral Area, Hon. Gyasi Danso, and members of the Unit Committee.
The commissioning marks another important step in efforts to improve the welfare of the people of Mowire through the provision of essential social infrastructure.
Access to clean water remains fundamental to the health and well-being of every community, and the new facility is expected to significantly ease the burden on residents who have long faced challenges in securing a reliable water supply.
Community members expressed their appreciation to Nana Gyamfi Kumanin Sarpong, Hon. Gyasi Danso and the Unit Committee Members for their commitment to improving living conditions in Mowire. They noted that the six standpipes would enable more people to fetch water at the same time, ensuring a more efficient and convenient supply.
The commissioning of the mechanised borehole reflects the continued commitment of Nana Gyamfi Kumanin Sarpong and his collaborators to promoting sustainable community development and improving the quality of life for the people of Mowire.
