Mowire Palace Hosts Free NHIS Registration and Renewal Exercise
Residents of Mowire today benefited from a free National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) registration and renewal exercise organised at the Mowire Palace under the leadership of Mowirehene, Nana Gyamfi Kumanin Sarpong.
The initiative was organised by the Office of the Assembly Member together with Nananom and members of the Unit Committee to help residents renew expired NHIS cards and also register new members onto the scheme.
The exercise, which began in the morning, attracted a large number of residents from Mowire and surrounding communities who turned up to take advantage of the opportunity to secure active health insurance coverage.
Officials assisting with the registration processed both renewals and new applications as residents queued at the venue throughout the exercise. Community members described the initiative as timely and beneficial, especially for residents who may find it difficult to travel long distances to renew their cards.
Nana Gyamfi Kumanin Sarpong commended the organisers and encouraged residents to remain active on the NHIS scheme in order to access healthcare services whenever the need arises.
The programme formed part of efforts aimed at improving access to healthcare and promoting the welfare of people within the community.
